I'm Andy Boyd, and I've been in the plumbing trade since 1998. I started my career in new construction, learning the fundamentals from the ground up during the housing boom. When the market shifted, I adapted by moving into commercial construction and service work, expanding my skill set and gaining experience across every side of the industry.
Eventually, I found my true calling in residential service plumbing, where I could work directly with homeowners and solve real problems every day. For the past decade, I've worked as a plumbing supervisor, and one of the parts of the job I've enjoyed most is training the next generation of plumbers.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to mentor young men coming into the trade, including some who were friends' kids and grew up around me. They started calling me “Uncle,” and before long, the name stuck. As they brought in their friends, they started calling me “Uncle” too, and that's really where the name Uncle's Plumbing comes from.
What I'm most proud of is not just the work I've done, but the people I've helped develop. I've trained crews of hardworking young men into intelligent, highly skilled plumbers who take pride in their craft and do things the right way.
Today, I'm a licensed Master Plumber (M-46022), and I still genuinely enjoy the trade. Plumbing isn't just a job to me. It's something I've dedicated my life to. At Uncle's Plumbing, that experience and passion show up in every service call, every repair, and every customer interaction.
